Through this paper we aim, using the Critical Discourse Analysis (FAIRCLOUGH, 2003; RESENDE & RAMALHO, 2006), to perform an explanatory criticism (BARROS, 2015) on homophobic discourses said by politicians in three places: Poland, Brazil and the Brazilian state called Mato Grosso. In common, these politicians have the use of hate speech (cf.GLUCKSMANN, 2007) against LBGT people as a strategy to attract people who also think like them. The utterances we analyze are taken from media news websites. We try to unveil the modes of operation of ideology (THOMPSON, 2011) in order to understand the mechanisms involved to keep and spread the kind of hate speech we focus on. Enlightened by the Queer Theory (MISKOLCI, 2012; COLLING, 2018; BELTRÃO; BARROS, 2019; OLIVEIRA et al., 2020), we look forward to stablish resistance face to this kind of hate speech politically used, trying to contribute in the construction of a better world, where everybody can keep alive, being respected as human beings.
