Reification, Critical Theory, RecognitionAbstract
Reification begins to be problematized in Critical Theory in the 1930s. Currently, Axel Honneth has been problematizing it through the Theory of Recognition. Thus, the relationship is now based on the criteria of the possibility of promoting the rights of various social groups and their identity formation. On the other hand, Paulo Freire also deals with Reification, as the impossibility of the oppressed to pronounce the world. Therefore, our text is delimited by a bibliographical research and seeks to seek similarities between the authors, which suggests the potential for dialogue between Honneth and Freire about Reification. the article is the result of a bibliographical research from the development of the doctorate. In this discussion, we can state that the Reification in Honneth and Freire has an approximate relationship and that it is necessary to deepen the topic under discussion.
