Abstract

O “Manifesto de Outubro de 1932”, escrito por Plínio Salgado, marcou o início das atividades da Ação Integralista Brasileira (AIB) no cenário político e intelectual do país. Em Pernambuco, alguns estudantes da Faculdade de Direito do Recife (FDR) assumiram a liderança do movimento. No decorrer do ano de 1935, com o início das campanhas para as eleições municipais, começou também um processo de expansão da AIB-PE pelas cidades do interior, sendo implantado na ocasião um núcleo em Garanhuns, em 29 de junho. No decorrer desse artigo, buscaremos analisar a importância do pensamento cristão para a penetração da AIB nas cidades do interior de Pernambuco.

Abstract

The “Manifesto de Outubro de 1932”, written by Plinio Salgado, marked the beginning of the activities of the Ação Integralista Brasileira (AIB) in the political and intellectual scenario in the country. In Pernambuco, some students of the Faculdade de Direito do Recife (FDR) assumed leadership of the movement. During the year 1935 with the start of campaigning for local elections, also began a process of expansion of the AIB-PE in other cities, being implemented at the time a core Garanhuns on June 29. Throughout this article, we examine the importance of Christian thought for the penetration of AIB in the inner cities of Pernambuco.
