Ética da Tradução da Literatura

O presente artigo trata da questão da tradução e recepção da obra literária. O ponto de partida pode ser resumido na seguinte questão: é possível traduzir uma obra de arte? Considerando-se a obra literária original e dinâmica em seu processo criativo e interpre-tativo, tem-se que o ato tradutório é um ato hermenêutico que não se espelha no paradigma da fidelidade, válido para a maioria das traduções. Sendo assim, o processo de tradução de uma obra literária deve levar em consi-deração aspectos contextuais e próprios da cultura para a qual a tradução se destina, não se confi-nando em uma tentativa de trans-lação semântica. Ao final discute-se o conceito de adaptação como conceito adequado para ser usado quando busca-se traduzir textos literários.
