Esse estudo analisa a gravura “Uma miniatura do mundo do século 19” composta e criada em 1826 por John Warner Barber (1798-1885), presbiteriano e pintor estadunidense. A narrativa visual é autônoma em comparação a outros quadros que tratam do tema dos dois caminhos, sejam eles dos países baixos ou de origem católicos ou protestante, ou do mundo anglo-saxão, ou de contemporâneos como François Georgin (1801-1863) ou Charlotte Reihlen (1805-1868).

Abstract
This study analyzes an engraving by John Warner Barber (1798-1885), a Presbyterian and American painter. It is an autonomous visual narrative in comparison to other paintings dealing with the subject of the paths, whether from the Netherlands, or from Catholic or Protestant origin, or from the Anglo-Saxon world, or works by contemporaries such as François Georgin (1801- 1863) or Charlotte Reihlen (1805-1868).

Este estudio analiza un grabado de John Warner Barber (1798-1885), presbiteriano y pintor estadounidense. Se trata de una narrativa visual autónoma en comparación con otros cuadros que tratan el tema de los caminos, ya sean de los Países Bajos, o de origen católico o protestante, o del mundo anglosajón, o obras de contemporáneos como François Georgin (1801- 1863) o Charlotte Reihlen (1805-1868).
