The Unveiling of the Wizard of Oz under the light of Rethorics

The theme of this work is to reveal the rhetorical elements contained in the classic work The Wizard of Oz. Our thesis is that Aristotle's system of rhetoric can be used to interpret rhetorical elements of literary works. The objective is to make a rhetorical analysis of the literature based on the work Art Rhetoric by Aristotle. For this, we made a careful reading of the Wizard of Oz, in which we selected excerpts and identified elements of Aristotelian rhetoric, such as speech genres, means of persuasion and figures of rhetoric. The relevance of this work is evidenced by the interpretation of a work of contemporary literature, based on the only existing system of rhetoric, which was created by the Stagirita. We believe with this, to bring to light the fullness of beauty and grace of contemporary literary texts that were once darkened and hidden from the inattentive gaze.
