Abstract

Fronteiras - Revista de Teologia da Unicap, considering the global scenario, marked by wars and their dire consequences, such as exacerbated violence, disrespect for human rights, hunger and displacement, considered it a requirement to reflect on the issue of social justice and prophetism, or prophecy. As the song says “Woe to me if I do not speak/ The truth that I have heard/ Woe to me if I keep quiet/ When God tells me to speak!” inspired by 1Cor 9,16. From a Christian perspective, there is nothing better than listening to the voice of the prophets, true heralds of justice and law. However, we do not want to look only at the biblical prophets but also at the prophetic dynamism that moved each prophet throughout these thousands of years and still moves prophets today in our history. Thus, this dossier brings diverse contributions on the prophetic perspective and social justice.
