In Search of the Parresiast Educator

This article deals, in the form of notes, about Michel Foucault's incursions regarding the parrhesiast subject/educator. We understand parrhesia as telling the truth frankly and passing through the “last Foucault” – the one who researched modes of subjectivation and ethics through the biases of alerturgia, which is self-care and self-practices. We observe that Foucauldian discourses on the theme of parrhesia closely touch a teleology of the subject of morality, with the educator being the one who must act in accordance with such an expedient. Understanding through Michel Foucault's readings what should be done and what should be avoided in order not to stop being a parrhesiast subject in his pragmatic conception.
