O presente trabalho tem como objetivo expor as propostas de Quine para superar os dogmas do empirismo moderno e confrontá-las com algumas das críticas dirigidas por Davidson àquelas propostas. Nosso interesse pelo assunto decorre do fato de que, no pano de fundo do debate, entre os dois autores mencionados, é possível identificar diversos aspectos do embate acerca do papel da experiência na construção do conhecimento, desta feita sob a égide da Linguagem.
