A IGREJA ADVENTISTA DO SÉTIMO DIA E NICEA (325)

Enquanto as Igrejas que são membros do Conselho Ecumênico de Igrejas e a Igreja Católica demonstram grande interesse na celebração do 1700º aniversário do Concílio de Nicéia (325), atribuindo-lhe um valor especial no que diz respeito à jornada ecumênica, a Igreja Adventista do Sétimo Dia não parece interessada em participar dessa comemoração. De fato, a atitude nutrida pela Igreja Adventista está enraizada em posições históricas que o artigo analisa. Além disso, a Igreja Adventista, embora não atribua nenhum valor fundacional ao Concílio de Nicéia, ao longo das décadas se firmou em uma posição trinitariana, contida em suas doutrinas fundamentais, em consonância com o Credo Niceno.
