Child Labour revealed by the free-art competition

This article makes a brief discussion about children's protagonism reverberated in the construction of drawings, within the scope of the 9th Arte-Livre contest, which thematized "Children's work is not legal". The objective is to discuss how children and adolescents represent the implications of the exploitation of child labor in their daily lives. To interpret the data, we performed a descriptive analysis of three drawings by children who competed with each other in this contest. These works played an important role in the expression of the cosmovision of this segment on violations of the rights of children and adolescents, allowing them to take a critical position on child labor and allowing the Pernambuco Council for the Defense of the Rights of Children and Adolescents to have subsidies to the deliberation on the construction of policies for integral protection.
