This article aims to work on the idea of anguish in relation to the process of search, of becoming. It is known that the Danish philosopher is well known for placing the meaning of anguish as a “reality of freedom in the face of possibility in the face of possibility”. And this reality of freedom is what constitutes the existent in the search for its becoming or singularity. In other words, this article aims to favor the understanding of the importance of anguish for the Individual, as well as to understand how fundamental it is to understand anguish as a path to singularity. For this, the individual needs to take ownership of himself, turning to his own self to, thus, cure himself of the deadly disease that is the escape from his own possibility, the non-experience of anguish, which leads to despair. Finally, this article will be divided into two central points: (i) the notion of anguish in Kierkegaard's thought and (ii) the understanding of how anguish is saved by faith.
