Modernity has brought with it a growing tendency toward the objectification and instrumentalization of both human beings and nature. The dominant technical-utilitarian rationality in modern society tends to reduce everything to resources to be used for specific purposes, leading to the loss of the authentic meaning of existence. It is in this context that Heidegger's hermeneutics of Being emerges as a philosophical alternative that challenges the premises of technical rationality, seeking to break away from the instrumentalization of humanity through the proposition of a non-objectifying relationship with reality. Within this framework, based on the assumptions established by Heidegger in his hermeneutic philosophy, this article proposes a critical analysis of the epistemological paradigm of rationalism and its application in Organizational Theory. To this end, the research adopted an exploratory and descriptive approach, using the hypothetical-deductive method. Data collection was carried out through a bibliographic review. Finally, it was concluded that Heidegger's critiques of the reification of being and modern technique can be applied to rationalism, challenging the aspects of human instrumentalization and objectification within this organizational model.
