O autor apresenta em resumo, neste artigo, sua tese de que Ética e Metafísica se imbricam necessária-mente, que a apreensão do significado de ética depende da base metafísica que orienta o pensamento, e, que, por constituir algo essencial para o existir humano a Ética não pode ser reduzida a um conjunto de normas, princípios e imperativos condicionantes da tole-rância nas relações sociais e ecossistêmicas. O objetivo que pretende alcançar é oferecer um texto provoca-tivo que possa instigar o debate.
