Abstract

The article aims to resume, update and expand the publication of Jack Levison (2016) in which he defended the existence of a well-elaborated pneumatology in the Letter to the Hebrews. Levison's publication became a watershed in this theme, but some of his positions were later questioned in Alan K. Hodson's thesis (2019) and the question that seemed to have been definitively resolved "returned as a zombie" requiring a review of the arguments of these authors and others in recent studies on the Letter to the Hebrews. Is there a pneumatology in Hb? Is it confusing? Is it carefully crafted? Does it have a relevant or secondary role in the Letter? Levison dialogued with authors who published over a century to defend their arguments regarding a well-crafted and vital pneumatology in the Letter to the Hebrews. This article accepts Levison's conclusions and, furthermore, points to an inseparable union between the work of Christ the High Priest in the heavenly sanctuary sanctifying believers and the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit. The methodology used was the literature review.
