The Holy Spirit in the Christian East is a very broad subject, which is why we have focused only on one author, Irénée Hausherr, who is the greatest expert on Eastern Spirituality. The article presents the Spirit from an anthropological point of view as a constituent of the human person. Hausherr emphasises that spirituality is lived dogma, and in this sense, we can speak of the primacy of the spiritual, without which one cannot understand the Christian East. Spirituality as lived dogma finds its realisation above all in monastic life (Christian life par excellence), because it is precisely monks who should link knowledge more closely to life. The work presents the 6 constitutive elements that are part of monastic life and that in a special way show the presence of the Holy Spirit. It is precisely these 6 elements, which are faith, prayer, humility, vitality, sensitivity and charity that can be identified in the writings of Irénée Hausherr when he speaks of the Spirit's presence in the human person.
