A teoria do reconhecimento nas relações internacionais: reconhecimento e/ou interesses? [The theory on the avowal in the international relations: avowal or interests?]

O trabalho do filósofo Axel Honneth e a sua conhecida Teoria do Reconhecimentoganharam importantes debates nos últimos anos. Honneth quer estender
a sua teoria para além fronteiras, ao trabalhar com o reconhecimento entre os
Estados. Deste modo, Honneth tentará mostrar em que medida a sua teoria é
adequada e como pode servir para uma ampliação do reconhecimento entre os
Estados, tanto em aspectos empíricos, como normativos. Com isso, no presente
artigo, se articulará a proposta de Honneth aplicada às Relações Internacionais
e uma análise crítica dessa abordagem, para mostrar possíveis pontos fortes e
fracos da mesma. Se, por um lado, a teoria de Honneth consegue objetivar uma
relação mais cordial entre Estados que se reconhecem mutuamente, ela parece
de pouca utilidade quando o que está em jogo é justamente o que conta nas
relações internacionais, a saber, os interesses das Nações.
