Abstract

 

 

Santo Agostinho, em sua inquietação, estudou, se aprofundou no problema
humano. Em sua busca, quer saber quem é o homem? Logo concebe uma resposta mais convincente à questão instigante, qual seja: “Que grande mistério é o homem!” É nas Confissões que o doutor africano, em autobiografia, vai revelar toda sua humanidade. Pecados serão declinados. Não só confessa suas misérias, porém se torna contrito adorador de Deus. Portanto, neste opúsculo a pretensão é caminhar tomados pela mão do singular e extraordinário ser humano que foi Agostinho, no desejo de imitá-lo e abeberar-nos nas suas experiências espirituais e, finalmente, à sua semelhança, encontrar o caminho que leva à felicidade e, logo, acalmar o nosso inquieto coração naquele que é todo
repouso, Deus.
