Abstract

Dentre os empregos dos termos análise (“resolutio”) e síntese (“compositio”),
um dos mais promissores consiste em sua especificação como modos ou tipos
de raciocínio. Compreender a natureza e a finalidade de um tipo específico de
“resolutio” e “compositio” em Tomás de Aquino é o principal objetivo do presente
estudo, que se ocupa tão somente dos conceitos genéricos e específicos,
das proposições e de suas relações nos raciocínios, objetos característicos da
razão humana e o sujeito específico da lógica.
