Abstract

Muitos estudiosos já analisaram a freqüência da palavra bilde (imagem, em
mittelhochdeutsch, o médio-alto alemão) nos escritos de Eckhart, e todos concordam
em atribuir-lhe um papel muito importante na sua ampla produção filosófico-
teológica. O artigo, em primeiro lugar, faz uma análise dessa palavraconceptum
do ponto de vista semântico-conceitual e, em seguida, a descontrói
em quatro dimensões (teológica, antropológica, empírica, ética), apenas do ponto
de vista metodológico. O autor, assim, deseja mostrar como bilde revela a
importância que a imagem assume no âmbito da especulação eckhartiana enquanto
princípio hermenêutico legítimo, autêntica chave de leitura que possibilita
a compreensão dos nós fundamentais do pensamento do mestre dominicano.
